White DualCurtain Outdoor motion sensor
Bidirectional curtain wireless IR motion detector. DualCurtain Outdoor controls the perimeter without creating obstacles for people who are already inside. Two independent optical systems with narrow field of view sectors and flexible settings allow you to accurately adjust 30 meters of detection field, excluding possible sources of false alarms. The unique ELSA software responds to intruders, excluding causes that can trigger the alarm such as natural interference and pets.
On the sides of the detector there are two optical systems with a narrow field of view, each equipped with two PIR sensors. Thanks to thermal compensation, detection is always accurate. The sensor signals are analyzed by our new ELSA digital algorithm. The detector activates the alarm only if two sensors of the same optical system simultaneously detect the movement of people.
How the ELSA digital algorithm works
The analysis of the signal is fundamental for the motion detector, which receives a minimum of information on the object located in the protected area due to the horizontal field of view of 4.5°. Precise analysis ensures a rapid response to people, eliminating reactions triggered by animals and natural interference. DualCurtain Outdoor uses ELSA, a three-stage software algorithm that analyzes the signal from two PIR sensors of the optical system focused on a narrow field of view.
1. Shape Analysis
The signal waveforms of the two PIR sensors must correspond to the way in which an intruder passes through the protected area. In any direction: either perpendicular or along the direction of the detection area. In the same phase, a correction of the signal intensity is carried out, to take into account the distance from the sensors and the size of the object.
2. Model Comparison
Signal amplitudes are verified with the model database. To create it, we analyzed thousands of events in which tent detectors were triggered by people, animals, lights and other natural interferences in various weather conditions. The signals must correspond to the behavior patterns typical of human beings.
3. Time Verification
When the signals from both PIR sensors match the conditions: this is a movement and is typical of a human, the ELSA algorithm compares the time windows of the received signals, determining whether the upper and lower sensors they detected the movement synchronously.
It takes ELSA less than a second to reach the final verdict on whether it is a threat or a false alarm.
Efficiency in the nearby area
DualCurtain Outdoor is equipped with technology that expands the protected area: a unique feature among outdoor curtain motion detectors. When Near Area Detection is activated, the detector's top PIR sensor receives an additional narrow sector of view, directed at an angle of 40 degrees downward from the main one. This feature allows both sensors to detect movement when a person crosses the protected perimeter close to the body of the device, solving the blind spot problem, which is typical of such detectors.
Near area detection is designed to protect windows and other passageways that animals do not have access to. The proximity of the detection zones significantly reduces the efficiency of immunity to pets.
A case. Two independent detectors.
The detection range of the two optical systems is independently adjustable. This allows you to precisely set the perimeter protected by DualCurtain Outdoor and avoid false alarms caused by a bush moving in the wind or people passing on a public sidewalk. To prevent the detector's field of vision from being blocked by a column or a drainpipe on a facade, the optical systems can be oriented horizontally. Within the app it is possible to adjust the sensitivity or deactivate one of the optical systems.< /p>
Resistant to attacks
DualCurtain Outdoor cannot be dimmed or imperceptibly disabled even if the security system is disarmed. The detector's optical systems are reinforced with advanced anti-masking sensors that respond to obstacles, coverage and lens paint. The anti-tamper mechanism will not allow you to remove the device from the holder without being noticed. And even if the detector is instantly destroyed, it takes the hub less than a minute to detect the loss of communication and notify a monitoring station. toring and users of the problem.
Guaranteed alarm communication
We have developed the Jeweler radio protocol to ensure uninterrupted operation of all devices within the security system. The radio protocol uses time frames to synchronize communication of connected devices, authentication to eliminate forgery, and encryption to protect against hacking.
Thanks to low energy consumption, DualCurtain Outdoor works for years with pre-installed batteries. The monitoring station and users will be notified in advance in case of necessary maintenance work on the device.
The connection and configuration process of DualCurtain Outdoor saves the installation engineer's time in the best possible way. To add a detector to your system, simply scan the QR code with the Ajax app and assign it a name and room. You can configure the device in real time while testing detection zones and communication. If necessary, the detector can be disabled or the system parameters can be reconfigured remotely, without on-site intervention.
